About Us

The Chattahoochee Woman’s Club has a long and rich history of service to our community. We  honor teachers and staff at Chattahoochee Elementary School with a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon.  In the spring club members read to students in Pre-K through first grades and give each student at least  two books to take home. We also give gifts to the Teacher of the Year and Support Staff Person of the

Year and invite them to our May club luncheon. Speakers are invited to club luncheon to keep club  members informed about educational updates in the county and statewide.

The Conservation Department facilitates the Torreya Tree Project. This project strives to grow  and maintain several Torreya trees. These trees were nearly wiped out by disease in the 1950’s. The  club also participates in the Chattahoochee Beautification program.

We continue to support the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Chattahoochee by providing either snacks  or lunch throughout the year.

Our support of The Refuge House of Quincy, Florida continues this year through donations of  goods for their clients.

The CWC awards the Lena Carmichael Nursing Scholarship each spring to a deserving TCC  nursing student from Gadsden County.

Annual fundraisers are held each year which include but are not limited to:

Christmas Gathering, “Putting the Pieces Together Again”, Spring Fashion Show and Belk’s Charity Sale.
